Pep Boys Auto Service & Tires

Made an appointment to get ONE TIRE repaired. Dropped my car off & proceeded to wait. After two hours, I went up to the front desk for an update. The update was they hadn’t touched my car yet & actually didn’t even know what needed to be done. What happened to all the information I had to give online to book the appointment and the information I gave when I dropped off the car? Straight to the trash I suppose. Front desk guy then had the nerve to say it will still be at least another hr before they bring the car in the shop. So what point is there for making an appointment? Anyways… had to wait an additional two hrs. Horrible experience. Will never go again & will never recommend. If you can, please go somewhere else.

Second time I’ve come to this Pep Boys for an oil change and was driving the next day and got a notification on my dashboard that the oil was low. Last time I added the quart of oil myself. This time I brought it back. They were accommodating, which I appreciate and addressed it right away, but I still don’t understand how you can come in for an oil change and leave with a lower oil level than you came in with. I can’t think of anything other than total incompetence.

Walked in last minute with a flat tire on a Sunday, Memorial Day weekend, and was taken such great care of! I’m so grateful for the kindness and willingness to help me last minute. The staff is so nice and professional. They did a quick, but great job! I’m so pleased and will make sure to come back if I ever need anything. These men all deserve a raise. Thank you so much!!!!

I brought my car to Pep Boys for recurring air‑pressure issues. After waiting two hours, I was told there were no problems, even though all four tires are still under their warranty. They canceled my appointment and suggested the issue might be from the original installation. Unfortunately, the tire pressure light came back on within 30 minutes of leaving. When I scheduled another appointment for today, the front desk informed me they could deny service because the system shouldn’t have allowed the booking. This has left me concerned about the reliability of their service and whether the issue will be properly addressed.

If I could give zero stars I would! I had a flat tire while traveling home from Delaware to New Jersey, with my dashboard showing my tire pressure at 10 PSI. I made a 20-minute detour to this shop and arrived about 30 minutes before closing, hoping they could help. When I walked in, I was immediately told they wouldn’t be able to fix the tire in 20 minutes and that there was “nothing” they could do. I explained that I still had an hour drive home and was unsure what my options were, but the sales rep firmly repeated that nothing could be done, with no effort to offer any kind of solution or customer support. What was frustrating was not that they were closing soon completely understand that but that no alternative options were offered. A simple response like, “We close in 20 minutes, but if you’d like to leave the car here, we’d be happy to look at it first thing in the morning,” would have made a huge difference. Instead, I had to sit in my car and research my own options before deciding I’d have to leave the car overnight and find a ride home. I then had to go back inside and ask if I could even leave the car there. That should have been suggested from the start. To make things
